Best of Jacky Cheung

I am wallowing at home and listening to Jacky Cheung croon his everlasting love to someone.

Today has been quite a day. I can tell because I feel like falling asleep, and it's only 10:40 PM. All my friends left their nests this week, and I still have six days to go. Not a single thing a packed, yet. I finally bought a rug today, but it's HUGE. I'm not sure why the store stuck their carpet/rug section towards the back...maybe so that they could laugh at people like me who had a lug the huge-ass log all by myself, to the checkout at the FRONT of the store. But I managed, as always.

hungry

My mom wanted to go to lunch at noon, but seeing as that is merely a half an hour away and my sisters aren't even awake yet...I don't think that's happening!

This song is like...aural candy to me. It actually makes me optimistic and happy during its three minutes and fifty-four seconds duration. And then I just come back to reality, where hardly anything is solved with optimism. Haaaa.

I don't know what else I'm going today yet. I've made so plans with people, though, that they're beginning to get jumbled in my head. I guess that's what a calendar is for, eh? Except every time I use a calendar or agenda, the maximum time I'll use it for is a week. Then I'll usually lose the motivation to keep up with it!

I wonder what this says about my personality?

a new beginning

Sooo, I am awake at this hour because I'm driving my sister to marching band camp. We're leaving extra early so she can get sunscreen. Good thing I went to bed at midnight last night! That's pretty early for me these days.

I've been back from HK for about a week, but it totally doesn't feel like it. I learned that my uncle and aunt actually read my blogs since I was last there, in 2005. That is really embarrassing to know, because I used to be obsessed with ranting and swearing and dropping the f-bomb. Ugh, just terrible. Hopefully they've read some of the more recent ones, where I don't sound like a crazy child...one of these days I will take one of my posts and then psycho-analyze myself, hahaha. But it's hard for me to even LOOK at it because it's so not what my personality is like now.

MSU is supposed to notify us of who our roommate is this week. Well, that's what we all assume, because they said, "early August". But I suppose "early August" could also apply to next week? Or would that be mid-August. Hmmmm.

Growing up is a weird thing to experience, especially if you've spent your whole life in the same place. I don't really want to leave home, but I have a feeling it won't be the first time in my life that I'll have to leave a familiar place for a long, long, time.

Strangely, my excitement outweighs my anxiety about going somewhere new. This could be because I'm still young. People say as you get older, the less excited you get about life, because chances are you've experienced all there is to experience already.

I'm not looking forward to that day of my life, but already I feel like it is happening.

Something Else by the Kinks

Every time I come back here after a period of absence, I immediately wince, because the colors I chose for this Xanga make it a COMPLETE eyesore.

I am leaving for Hong Kong on the 28th! I am so fucking excited. I have learned my lesson from last time, which is to bring a very limited amount of personal belongings, so then I can fit all my NEW stuff in the suitcases when I come back!

I've been listening to The Kinks lately (actually, just this song and Lola, but I'm sure I will expand into their other songs soon), and I am absolutely in love with this song. Pinpointing the exact reason why I like it so much is hard, but I think it might have something to do with how fondly he sings the lyrics, with a really reminiscent tone.

GO GREEN AND WHITE!

Today's game was amazing. So many people thought Louisville would pulverize State! I wonder if I'll have time to make it down to State's campus for the final, if State gets to it. :D

Tomorrow
